Senior Technical Services Veterinarian

Richard Linhart, DVM, Diplomate ACT, is a Senior Technical Services Veterinarian with Cambridge Technologies, based in Boise, Idaho. He supports cow‑calf, stocker/backgrounder, and feedyard operations with data‑driven herd health strategies that improve performance and efficiency.

Board‑certified in theriogenology, Dr. Linhart brings 20+ years of private practice experience and nearly two decades on beef cattle technical services teams across the western U.S. His expertise spans production medicine, immunology, vaccine programs, and antimicrobial stewardship, with focus areas in neonatal disease prevention, feedlot cattle health management, and reproductive herd health in cattle, bison, and small ruminants.

A Purdue University DVM graduate, he completed a theriogenology residency at the University of Missouri. He previously owned Simpsonville Animal Hospital in Kentucky for 20 years. Dr. Linhart is an active member of the AABP, AVC, ACT, and AVMA, and currently serves as treasurer for both the Academy of Veterinary Consultants and the AVC Foundation.
